One of a kind Argentium silver (935) cuff with mounted natural Persian turquoise with pyrite. Bezel is handmade from sterling and fine silver. Persian turquoise has become increasingly rare.
Neyshapur mines have produced turquoise for centuries. Many of the old tunnels have been researched and a sparse amount found, although most of these mines have been abandoned. Many mine in this region have become too dangerous to continuing mining. New turquoise deposits are occasionally found. The stone in this piece was mined from the Abo Ishaghi. Abo Ishaghi has been closed for about fifty years.
